LED Aluminum Profile “PL061” is a versatile lighting solution that can be suspended from the ceiling or surface mounted with the included mounting clips. Its sleek and narrow design makes it ideal for both general and decorative lighting applications in residential and commercial spaces. While it is primarily designed for indoor use, it can also be used in outdoor applications when paired with waterproof components.
Installation:
Two Mounting Methods Available
LED Aluminum Profile “PL061” offers two mounting options. The first method is to use the suspension kit included in the package. The kit allows for quick and easy installation in minutes. Simply screw the anchor into the desired surface, install the aircraft cable, and cut it to the desired length. Then slide the cable-grip retaining screws into the rear channel of the aluminum housing before installing the closed end-cap onto the light fixture. Insert the end-cap and tighten the cable-gripper onto the light fixture. The aircraft cable can now be pulled into the cable-grip and adjusted to the desired suspension height.
The second method is to use the included mounting clips for surface mounting. This method is also quick and easy. Simply drill holes into the desired surface and screw the mounting clips into place. Once the clips are screwed onto the mounting surface, snap the aluminum profile into place.
Cutting:
Customize Length to Fit Your Needs
To customize the length of the aluminum profile and create a custom lighting fixture, snap the cover onto the profile and place the channel onto a miter saw with the cover facing down. This will allow you to easily cut both the channel and cover to your desired length at the same time. It is recommended to use a new fine-tooth blade to cut the aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/cover is fragile and may easily break with an old blade. Lower the saw blade slowly while cutting to avoid breaking the cover or diffuser.
